Walleye fishing at Brabant Lodge is always productive and fun! Not only can you expect to catch good numbers of Walleye everyday, but many trophy Walleye are caught every year here at Brabant Lodge.
Walleye between 18 and 28 inches and up to 8+ pounds are common in our waters.
Walleye Rods, Reels, Fishing Line & Leaders
Rods
Rod and reel rentals are available at Brabant Lodge for a fee.
Ultralight to medium action rods are recommended for Walleye fishing at Brabant Lodge.
Reels
1000 to 2500 size reels are recommended for Walleye fishing at Brabant Lodge.
Fishing Line
Monofilament, Fluorocarbon, or braided line between 8 and 20 lbs. is recommended for use Walleye fishing at Brabant Lodge.
Leaders
We recommend braided steel leaders equivalent to the Northern Pike fishing leaders you will use at Brabant Lodge because many Trophy Northern Pike have been caught while Walleye fishing. We offer handmade custom Brabant tough Leaders for sale in our tackle shop in the main lodge. Our recommended store bought leader is a Terminator Titanium Leader in 12 inch length and 100 lbs. test strength.
Fly Fishing
5wt to 8wt rods with 0x to 3x tippet, full floating, and intermediate sink tip lines are recommended for Walleye fly fishing at Brabant Lodge.
